Yes. Your xStocks are held in a personal vault controlled exclusively by your account credentials. Replica operates as a technology provider—we never custody or commingle your assets with our operational funds. Your holdings exist independently on the blockchain, secured by your private keys.
The underlying shares backing xStocks are held by regulated custodians appointed by the xStock issuers (currently Ondo). These custodians are licensed financial institutions subject to regulatory oversight. Replica does not hold or custody the underlying securities.
Your xStocks represent a claim on real shares held in custody. The legal framework depends on the issuer's jurisdiction and structure. We recommend reviewing each issuer's legal documentation. Replica provides technology infrastructure only and does not guarantee issuer performance.
Your xStocks exist on the blockchain independently of Replica's interface. If our platform becomes unavailable, you can access your assets directly using any compatible wallet or blockchain explorer. Your vault address and assets remain accessible as long as you control your account credentials.
Your assets remain yours. Since xStocks are stored in your personal vault on the blockchain, Replica's operational status does not affect your ownership. You can transfer, sell, or redeem your xStocks through the issuer or secondary markets independently.
We prioritize security in our infrastructure. Details about smart contract audits and security measures will be published before launch. We recommend reviewing all technical documentation before investing.
This is the primary counterparty risk. If an xStock issuer becomes insolvent, the outcome depends on their legal structure and the bankruptcy jurisdiction. Typically, underlying shares in custody would be subject to claims proceedings. We recommend diversifying across issuers when available and reviewing each issuer's risk disclosures.
Replica operates as a technology platform that facilitates portfolio replication. We do not custody assets, provide investment advice, or operate as a broker-dealer. Regulatory requirements vary by jurisdiction. Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with their local regulations.
We evaluate issuers based on regulatory compliance, custody arrangements, transparency, track record, and legal structure. Currently, we support Ondo. Additional issuers undergo thorough due diligence before integration. However, Replica does not guarantee issuer performance—users should conduct their own research.
