Understand the risks before investing
This is the primary counterparty risk. If Ondo Finance (or any xStock issuer) becomes insolvent, the outcome depends on their legal structure and bankruptcy jurisdiction.
Underlying shares are held in segregated custody accounts at regulated institutions. In a bankruptcy scenario, these assets would typically be subject to claims proceedings. We recommend reviewing Ondo's legal documentation and diversifying across issuers when available.
Ondo Finance operates under U.S. regulatory frameworks. The underlying shares are held by licensed custodians and are legally segregated from Ondo's operational assets.
Replica operates as a technology platform only — we never custody your assets. Your xStocks exist in your personal vault on the blockchain, controlled exclusively by your credentials.

When you hold xStocks, you own digital assets that represent real equities. These assets are:
It's important to understand the differences from traditional brokerage:
| Risk | What it means | How it's addressed |
|---|---|---|

| Technology risk | Bugs in the code | Systems are audited by independent security firms |
| Custody risk | Where real shares are held | Shares held in regulated brokerage accounts |
| Market risk | Stocks can lose value | Normal investing risk — diversify your holdings |
| Liquidity risk | Ability to sell quickly | Major xStocks have deep liquidity on Orca/Jupiter |
